The customer, living in a mid-terrace house in Cleggan, Co. Galway, had very limited roof space available for solar panels. This raised area, accessible via a footbridge from the house, seemed perfect, but a standard ground-mounted solar panel frame would have likely been considered an eyesore by the surrounding neighbours.
Our Innovative Solar Panels Solution
Our design team recognized the need for a low-profile solar panel system that wouldn’t obstruct neighboring views. We proposed a tub-based ground-mount system for the solar panels. This innovative design involved securing the solar panels within specially designed tubs that are weight-mounted on a flat surface. The tubs provide a sturdy base for the panels without requiring an elevated frame, keeping the solar panels close to the ground and out of sight.
The area was beautifully finished with decorative stone and a wooden border, blending the installation seamlessly into the landscape.
The Results
