We are seeking a 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Electrician who is eager to learn, has a keen interest in sustainable energy and is committed to contributing to the growth of the Solgrid’s reputation of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solar PV Installation Assistance: Work closely with our experienced electricians and solar technicians on the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of solar PV systems.
- Electrical Wiring: Assist in the proper wiring and connection of solar panels, inverters, and associated electrical components, ensuring full compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Full Safety Adherence: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment, while also promoting our safety priority culture within the team.
- Documentation Management: Maintain meticulous records of work activities, equipment usage, and any encountered issues during installations to uphold quality control standards and facilitate effective project management.
- Knowledge progression: Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in solar PV installation through active participation in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Brand & Team ambassador: demonstrate behavior that align with the Solgrid’s values of trust, quality and safety.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Enrolment in Accredited Electrical Apprenticeship Program: Currently enrolled or intending to enrol in a recognised electrical apprenticeship program. 3rd or 4th year and advantage.
- Electrical Knowledge: Possess an understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components, with previous coursework or experience in electrical work considered advantageous.
- Enthusiasm for Renewable Energy: Demonstrate genuine interest in sustainable energy solutions and a strong desire to contribute to the growth and advancement of the solar industry.
- Team Player: Display the ability to work effectively within a team environment and follow directions from experienced colleagues.
- Physical Aptitude: Capable of undertaking physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving equipment, working at heights, and sustaining extended periods of standing.
- Dependability and Punctuality: Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and a steadfast commitment to meeting project deadlines and responsibilities.
- Adaptability: Full drivers’ licence with willingness to travel and as projects require.
